                                                                                                                      BeAC:

                                                                                                        Be Active, be a Citizen

The European project "BeAC: Be Active, be a Citizen" aims to develop educational resources to help young people aged 15 to 24 living in marginalized neighborhoods acquire and put into practice critical thinking skills. This target group faces discrimination, prejudice and isolation, and as a result its members find it difficult to be active citizens in society. Throughout the project and to achieve the above objectives, the project will train professionals, teachers, social workers, mental health professionals and volunteers who work and support young people with fewer opportunities. The project will build the skills of professionals so that they can support young people in acquiring and developing critical thinking skills and applying them to practices of active citizenship.

The expected results of the project constitute a set of additional resources to support educators of young people, to develop critical thinking and active citizenship.

The tools that will be developed during the project are the following:

- A workshop program based on the methodologies of philosophy for the community

- Artistic thinking workshops for teenagers and young adults

- A promotional activity to promote the active citizenship

- Teaching critical thinking through philosophy and art: a training for young employees

Thanks to the implementation of these resources, the project is expected to achieve the following results during its implementation:

- supporting the development of critical thinking skills in young people from vulnerable groups

- promoting social attitudes among young people belonging to vulnerable groups, including increased environmental awareness, democratic participation at European Union level and social participation

- supporting the social inclusion of young people from marginalized contexts

- support the upgrading of the skills of young employees, through the implementation of individualized training programs for the active citizenship

The project is carried out with the support of the Erasmus + program of the European Union, has a duration of 24 months (January 2022 - January 2024) and is implemented by the following organisations:
